Learn. Connect. Share. Raise PTSD Awareness, June

Posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) is a mental health condition that can occur after a person has been exposed to a single or multiple traumatic events. It can be the result of war-related combat stress, sexual or physical assault, natural or man-made disaster, or any other situation in which trauma has occurred.

PTSD has received increased media attention over the last several years, due to its crippling and often devastating effect it can have on our military service men and women. It’s important that the public be aware that PTSD can also be found in children, teens and adults of all ages, backgrounds and circumstances.

With the goal of bringing greater awareness to recognizing and treating PTSD, the U.S. Senate designated June 27th as National PTSD Awareness Day. Not long thereafter, the entire month of June became PTSD Awareness Month.

In support of PTSD Awareness Month, here are some brands that will make a donation to the PTSD charity of your choice when you purchase online.
